INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic is part of the world family
of micronations. Indeed it is its prime exemplar as the principle behind every micronation is association around a common
cause rather than blood tie. Several larger nations such as Belgium, Switzerland and most African and Asian countries are
united by the same principle as their peoples are tied by blood to other and different nations outside their borders
but adhere to the common cause of their state.
The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic seeks formal diplomatic relations with all other micronations and
with larger nations irrespective of their views. In this way Vespacia has more opportunities to contribute its values to the
wider world.
The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic is not a member of the United Nations or any other form of international
alliance. Alliances should exist for specific reasons and have specific aims and these can be more effectively achieved through
informal and non-binding co-operation on an issue by issue basis than by signing up to unions which will involve compromising
the principles of the state for the sake of the union.
PEACE: The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic is a non-aggressive state and seeks active involvement
in any conflict resolution process. We believe that any principle worth fighting over is worth making peace around. We consider
that making peace around common principles which are taken seriously by all sides is the duty of every state and the key to
universal prosperity.
ECONOMICS: The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic is not in favour of permanent economic unions
which are inherently corrupt as greater and greater compromises must be made to preserve them. Joint arrangements made to
benefit all parties will vary from issue to issue and rise and fall as the market dictates. Vespacia encourages such economic
arrangements. Vespacia does not support compulsory financial controls but is happy to support those with a demonstrably better
end in view than can be achieved without controls.
JUSTICE: The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic recognises the limitations of human justice
but acknowledges that as far as possible human justice should reflect divine justice. We support the rule of law but not when
those laws are patently discriminatory or ridiculous. Vespacians obey the laws of other countries within which they live but
Vespacian Law as declared by the monarch is considered to have higher authority for this reason.
DEVELOPMENT: The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic does not believe in the concept of rights
but if a right is declared in any state it should exist for all. We are committed to advancing the right to employment, financial
competency and civic participation for all people and to maximising the talent of individuals for the common good.
THE WORLD: The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic believes that the world would be a better
place if every person was a Vespacian citizen and acted accordingly. It does not seek to infringe upon the sovereignty of
other nations and all Vespacian citizens remain entitled to claim any other citizenship. Nevertheless all people are encouraged
to become worthy of Vespacian citizenship and to seek it. Should a large portion of the world's population declare allegiance
to The Vivo Espace Democratic Republic it would become the leading world superpower and although this is not sought in itself
Vespacia would gladly take on such a role for the benefit of mankind.
